The SMTT offers grants towards individual and family therapeutic support for those in financial hardship who could not otherwise afford it, and who also live in Sussex.
If you would like to apply to the Shannon Moore Trauma Trust for a grant to fund yourself or another person’s therapeutic assessment or therapy, please take a moment to walk through the next few steps.
Please note that we periodically close to new applications dependant on Charitable funds available. We are presently (March 2025) open to new grant requests.
Please be aware that with the Government announcement regarding the existence of the ASGSF in 2025/26, the Trust is no longer in a position to provide a grant to those who could and should otherwise have their therapeutic work funding via these applications
The Trust prioritises grants to individuals and families whose trauma experiences have led to adoption, fostering and kinship care arrangements, alongside individuals who experience dissociation as a result of trauma.
In order to find out if you meet the eligibility criteria for the Trust, please answer the following questions. If you are eligible, then our full application form will become available for you to complete. It is important for you to know our full application form will ask you about your (or your child’s) trauma history, and also your financial eligibility. Please make sure you are in a comfortable and safe place to fill out the form, as it may trigger painful memories.
If filling out this online form is a barrier to applying for a grant, please email us on [email protected] and we will provide help.
(If you are the parent/carer of a child, ‘you’ refers to the child)
